A queer and trans space for us to explore drawing . In my experience it can be a very powerful and liberating experience to represent ourselves and our communities, in our own ways. So I’d like to share this with you. Some of what we do will be expressive drawing, and some will be life drawing with a model. We’re going to do dress ups so expect exciting outfits! The mix of in person and online allows us to have a model in the live space, and we will share what we’re doing in pauses through the Zoom. I’ve been hearing how surprised people are how much they are enjoying our other online class, and that it still feels connective and nourishing. We will all have different levels of experience and resources to share, and my aim is that we learn from each other, and all hold the space together with generosity, care and compassion.We will learn lots about drawing together in this class, but it is also about process, being together, and creating community. You don’t have to be able to draw, or have ever drawn before. Mistakes, and trying things out are just as valuable as a ‘good drawing’.
