Expressive Life Drawing

Learn to draw, or hone your skills with new, surprising and fun exercises. We generate a wide variety of marks and approaches to drawing, diving in and covering our pages with new experiments and trials. We bring these techniques to the body, drawing a model, and also working with more abstract approaches. You will produce vibrant and exciting drawings, and lots of them!
We cover: gesture drawing, extended gesture, composition, selection of work, reflection on our processes, and much more!
6 weeks running 6 – 8pm weekly at Vincent’s Art Workshop, Willis St
– $275.00 materials and model fees included
Class hold 16 people with easels for all, wonderful models, and as always, expressive, exciting exercises.

Sian Torrington has been drawing for well over a decade, and is currently interested in the place where abstraction and figurative drawing meets, to represent the embodied, living subject. She has taught at COCA for seven years, has exhibited nationally and internationally, and works from a studio in Wellington.
